My cat Ray is known for being very chill compared to most cats. Taking him outside to go on adventures with me is one of my favorite things to do. On Tuesday last week I took him to the park nearby my apartment. He loves sitting in the grass and looking around at things, especially birds. Some mother was there with her son and said to him "Look, she has a cat, and it's wearing a green shirt, do you wanna say hi?" The kid was too shy to say hi to Ray but it was cute, I love seeing peoples reactions to seeing me casually out in public with my cat.

After sitting in the grass for a while I decided to take him onto the playground to explore a little. I thought it would be funny to see him go down the slide, so I pushed him down. It was really hilarious seeing him shoot down the slide, and the sounds from his claws skidding against the slide just made it better. I got a video of it, which you can view below.

As you can see in the video though, there was mustard and ketchup slathered at the bottom for some reason. I didn't realize until it was too late. My guess is it was some teenagers or drunk college kids who slathered it there to be funny and prank some children. I doubt they would have expected some 19 year old to fall victim to it by pushing their cat down the slide. So after Ray went down the slide and I realized what happened, I had to rush him home so I could clean him. It was hard trying to simultaneously walk and hold him far away to keep the condiments off my clothes, as he was being squirmy, but I did get home and place him in the bathroom.

After getting him home and in the bathroom, I took off his shirt, put it in the laundry, and started filling the bathtub with water. Once it got full I put Ray in the tub. He doesn't mind being given baths, and the most he will do to resist it is get confused and jump out randomly. Upon putting him in I made sure to rub his feet, as thats where most of the ketchup and mustard got. And while he was in the bathtub, I decided to shampoo him, which made him super soft and smell very pleasant afterward.

After finishing up the bath, I dried him off a little with a towel so he wouldn't be sopping wet, and then let him dry himself off in the bathroom for a while. After bath's he dries himself off by licking himself all over, it helps brush through his fur, and reapplies his scent all over his body. While I was sitting in the bathroom with him he insisted on sitting on my leg while he dried himself off, he is an extremely clingy cat.

Once he became dry enough I let him hang out in my room with me. He continued licking away, and it took around 6 hours for him to be completely dry. I really enjoyed this quality bonding time with my son Ray. :3
